Hello and welcome back!

I am very excited to be teaching the Epic English I classes this year! I hope that we will have an amazing year and plan to do my best to make this a fun and exciting year for all of us.

This is my first year teaching at Robstown High School, but my third year teaching. I am thankful to be a part of such a strong and caring community. Please come and say "hi" if you see me at games, concerts, school functions, or even HEB.

I have an 11 year old daughter that is starting school at Seale Jr. High this year. She is excited to be a Weevil and future Picker! Go Red!!

As I said before, I have been teaching for three years, all English I, so I am bringing some experience to the classroom. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi with my degree in English 8-12 certified. I love to learn and plan to continue my education and get certified to teach in multiple content areas. I never want to stop learning and growing to make myself a better teacher and person.

This year we will be using data from previous STAAR tests to really examine and find solutions to help us not just pass the STAAR, but to Ace it. I know that STAAR enrichment can be a little boring and monotonous, but I will do everything that I can to make learning fun and interesting. From you, I need active participation and a willingness to try.

I like to laugh and am willing to go the extra mile to make my classroom an awesome learning community.

Be ready to be responsible for your learning and work cooperatively. We will all need to work hard to be prepared for the STAAR.

I cannot wait to meet all of you and get started working!

Ms. Pursch
