004 - Theatre Arts (Period 5)

Studying the history of theatre (from the Greeks to Grease) and highlighting the works that shaped theatre through the ages. Also, basic theatre terminology that allow the student to have a physical understanding of the actually stage & auditorium environment. Theatre games are included to afford the students the opportunity to actively participate, while learning basic concepts and terms. Projects throughout the year include a complete read through of a play, basic blocking, staging, and possibly a performance at the end of the year.
