On Friday, November 9th our Interact Club took part in the Veteran's Day Celebration at the Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds. They did an amazing job and represented our community and school proudly.
We were Robstown Proud this past Saturday night as 5 of our students alongside our fabulous choir director, Mr. Peppard, took the stage at the Victoria ISD Fine Arts Center for the All Region Choir Concert. These 5 students earned their spot among the other 75 choir students after a challenging audition process. The concert was beautiful and they truly represented Robstown ISD.

November 5-9 is Homecoming Week here at Robstown Early College High School. The activities are out in full force and we are gearing up for a great parade, burning of the R, and of course a win on Friday night. Make sure you check out the Homecoming 2018 photo album for all the great pictures of our students celebrating their pride in being a RECHS Picker!
On Saturday, November 3, several members of the RECHS Choir traveled to Veteran's Memorial High School to compete in the annual All-Region Choir Auditions. To participate in this competition, students had to learn a challenging piece entitled In This Place by Will Todd, as well as 3 songs in German from a collection of pieces by Brahms entitled Zigeunerlieder ("Gypsy Songs"). Students had to sing 3 of these 4 pieces at the competition, and students did not know until the contest day which 3 of the 4 pieces would be auditioned. Our students had to compete against anywhere from 30-50 students in each section, and perform for 5 judges.
Congratulations to the following 5 students who made the All-Region Choir!
Senior Alto Larae Martinez
Senior Soprano Annabelle Martinez
Sophomore Bass Kevin Ramon
Sophomore Bass Aldo Hinojosa
Freshmen Tenor Steven Ortega
These students will be traveling to Victoria ISD this Saturday to rehearse all day and then perform in an evening concert in the Victoria ISD Fine Arts Center.
On Saturday, October 27th the RECHS Marching Band competed in the Area UIL competition. They were the only marching band from our area to make it into the top ten and compete at finals. Although they did not make the final five to move onto state they are definitely #1 in all of our hearts. Their dedication, perseverance, and heart shines through. They are shining examples of Robstown Pride.
