Hilma Hunt is a graduate of Texas A&I University-Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Education, specializing in Spanish and Health/Physical Education. With a passion for teaching, Hilma believes in holding her students accountable for their success while fostering respect for diversity and different learning styles. She strives to create an enjoyable and inclusive learning experience for all in her Spanish classes.
In addition to her classroom work, Hilma sponsors the F.O.R. Club (Friends of Rachel) and the Spanish Club, helping students build strong communities. Her dedication to education has earned her several honors, including ATPE Region 2 Secondary Educator of the Year, 2017 Seale Jr. High Teacher of the Year, 2017 RISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, 2017 RADC Educator of the Year, 2024 RECHS Teacher of the Year, and 2024 RISD Secondary Teacher of the Year.
