Mario Longoria is a passionate and thoughtful educator who began his academic journey at Del Mar College, where he earned an Associate of Arts in Foreign Language specializing in Spanish. He then pursued his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, specializing in Public Relations. Mario’s teaching philosophy is rooted in creating a classroom environment defined by trust, empathy, and open communication. By taking the time to understand each student's unique background, interests, and learning styles, he personalizes his approach to meet their individual needs and aspirations. Mario values active listening and encourages students to share their thoughts and experiences, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging in the classroom.
Beyond teaching, Mario is dedicated to student leadership as the sponsor for the Student Council and assists with the Senior Class of 2025. He also coaches the Academic UIL Copy Editing team. Mario’s commitment to his students and school community has been recognized with the Proud Picker Award in both 2023 and 2024, and he was honored to be selected as an Educator Hero by a top ten graduate in 2024.
