Adolfo Gonzalez graduated from Texas A&M Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. His teaching philosophy emphasizes building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues while fostering an environment of lifelong learning. Adolfo believes that high expectations and a safe learning environment are essential for encouraging students to utilize higher-order thinking skills and explore new learning techniques. He focuses on empowering students to seek out resources, become self-evaluators, and embrace constructive feedback, instilling in them the idea that learning is an ongoing process.
As the Girl's Athletic Coordinator at Robstown Early College High School (RECHS), Adolfo also serves as the Head Coach for the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams and the Head Girls Track and Field Team. His impressive coaching career includes five 4A Cross Country District Titles, with many athletes qualifying for Regionals in both Cross Country and Track and Field. Adolfo has coached multiple individual District Champions and has led several athletes to Area and Regional victories.
During the 2023 Cross Country season, one of his athletes placed in the top 10 at the State Meet, earning a State Medal. In the 2024 Track & Field season, two female athletes qualified for State in three events, with one runner winning the bronze medal in the mile run. Throughout his career, he has coached numerous State Qualifiers in Cross Country and Track & Field. In recognition of his dedication to education and coaching, Adolfo was honored as an Educator Hero by a top ten-ranked graduating senior in both 2017 and 2023.
