Hello Robstown Early College Community,

It is a privilege to be a Cotton Picker and to serve our community as College and Career Readiness Director. My name is Maricela Pena, and it is exciting to start my 21st year with Robstown ISD. My career began as an Elementary Physical Education teacher/ high school coach for several years. Helping and understanding others has always been a passion of mine, so I went back to college and acquired my Master's in Guidance and School Counseling. I served as Site Coordinator and Project Director for the 21st Century Afterschool Program for 13 years. I understand the importance of challenging our students, building a positive environment, and most importantly, building trust. Today, as our College and Career Readiness Director, I pride myself on making sure our students have the information and resources they need to guide their success.

I am a proud Cotton Picker!
